Mad About the Boy by Maggie Alderson^.

I, as I normally do, only picked up this book because the cover looked "fun". I read the blurb and it seemed interesting enough - a kind of light-hearted book about a woman whose marriage breaks up when her husband announces he's gay, how she's no longer invited to all these parties and she's SO LONELY.
And then the soon-to-be-ex-husband's gay uncle arrives and makes everything better. Other stuff also happens...

On the back of this book, it has some of those one line reviews from newspapers, peoples, magazines, etc, saying how funny Pants on Fire was. Even though this was a different book (why do people do that? I don't want to know what another book was like, I want to know what THIS book is like!), I took it to mean that this book would be funny.

I liked the main character but my two favourites would be Spider (a hard 'bikie') and Percy, the ex-husband's very gay uncle - he's awesome. If I could, I'd totally make him my best friend. Sorry, Matt. :P

I didn't find it very funny but I found it strangely interesting.
The main woman goes from normal to train wreck in an instant and the rest of the book is about how she tries to go back to her normal self, while doing not normal things.
I smiled a few times and I laughed out loud once, so I think I might try out some of her other books.
